Tribute to Brian Lambie Hamilton
03 February 2010
It is with much regret and sadness we report today (3 February 2010) that Brian Lambie Hamilton MBE aged 47 has passed away.
Brian served with HM Forces firstly with the KOSB before transferring to the Royal Military Police laterally with the Special Investigations Branch where during a distinguished career he achieved the rank of Warrant Officer One (RSM).
In 1993 whilst serving with the RMP he was awarded the MBE.
After leaving the forces Brian was the co-owner/Managing Director of Hamilton’s Catering Engineers Ltd.
Brian joined WSG in 2005 as a Regional Manager and brought with him a dedication to develop and support others. After 3 years dedicated service with WSG in October 2008 Brian had the opportunity of furthering his own career and joined Team Contract Services as their Head of Operations, however such was his desire to develop others, he remained as an Associate with WSG.
Stuart Galloway stated “Brian was a great, dedicated family man, who became a personal friend. Everyone at WSG especially me is appreciative for everything that he done for us, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”
Brian was also a football man. He was a UEFA Licensed Coach where he gave up much of his time voluntarily working within the Youth Development Programmes at both Motherwell and Queens Park. He also spent some time working in the Community with Rangers Football Club. Brian took great pride in watching his own son Chris develop and become a professional footballer.
Our thoughts, sympathies and wishes go to his loving wife Joan, devoted son Chris, his mother and all his family.
